OUR CHEF

Víctor Santos, Head Chef at Bocado

At the helm of Bocado, a Spanish restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, is Chef Víctor Hugo Soares Santos, a Spanish chef bringing authentic Spanish cuisine to KL. Hailing from Spain, Chef Víctor leads the kitchen with a deep respect for traditional techniques, flame-grilled cooking, and the rich culinary heritage of his homeland. Now based in Malaysia, he embraces the opportunity to introduce genuine Spanish flavours to Kuala Lumpur’s vibrant dining scene, shaping Bocado into a destination for refined Spanish dining and private dining experiences in KL.

Chef Víctor’s journey began at the age of 12, when he realised that restaurants were places where people gathered to celebrate, connect, and share meaningful moments. Inspired by the happiness he witnessed around the table, he began cooking at home, a passion that evolved into a professional career in Spanish gastronomy. Today, his philosophy continues at Bocado, where every dish — from flame-grilled steaks to traditional Spanish tapas — is crafted to bring the communal spirit of Spain to Kuala Lumpur.
